Surinamese voodoo (obia) removed

Surinamese voodoo

Fio fio, obia on jewelry/ money, nazar/ nadjar/ ogri ai/ dhiet, obia on the ground, obia in the house, bakroes, saitan/ bhoot/ pret and yorkas, and luckily also things like djhare, lukus, wassis, tapus, Kerkipasi and cotti's that counteract this. Does all this mean anything to you? Then we may speak the same language! Many cultures, including Surinamese, use a lot of voodoo. And also from other cultures of course. But today we will discuss Surinamese voodoo and the removal of it. I am completely at home in it. But note: this is of course all my view. We can always be different.

Types of magic and voodoo

There are many kinds of magic in Surinamese culture. Before I explain that, let me pause for a moment to summarize the types of magic:

1: You have magic that is aimed at someone and then it hangs to the person† That happened in this life, or already sent from a past life and still with you. What you notice because of this is that certain areas of life are declining. Another small difference: if you are dealing with a (family) curse, you act influenced yourself. When dealing with magic, you mainly attract bad luck. If you are dealing with a curse spirit or magic spirit, there is also a form that follows you that tackles the areas of life;

2: There is magic that is aimed at someone with an object such as a doll that then ends up in the house, causing things to go wrong if that person is nearby;

3: There's voodoo that into a person comes. Also called possession. The voodoo symptoms of these the body, actions and thoughts are attacked;

4: There are also jealousies and desires of others towards you that become voodoo. For example, they are jealous of your relationship. These statements may come true, but were not intentionally sent with ritual, and the first 3 were;

5: And you have things that look and feel like voodoo, like bad luck or fatigue or a broken relationship, but aren't. Or be part voodoo. Consider factors other than opposition from the universe, family karma, family curses, magic contracted from haunted locations such as cemeteries, creating voodoo on yourself out of your own negativity, medical things or high sensitivity.

The Surinamese terms from the beginning of the article are scattered under these headings. Let's go through them with the accompanying explanations!

Surinamese voodoo

Point 1: distance magic, curses and ghosts to a person. With ghosts you can think of baking intoxication† These are spirits that serve a person and go out for him when he wants to do something to another. Bakruzz can be black magic. The bakru then destroys what it has been ordered to do. He shows himself in the corner of the eye or in dreams and usually has a small dark figure and a lot of hair. It is said that if he destroys the person it is sent to, he jumps to a neighbor, such as a child, to continue there;

You also have spirits that attach, like yorkas (people who have just died). Some also call them aura lifters. And you have the collective name for evil spirits: bhoot. Ready are often human spirits that wander. And it also becomes a curse serape called. Or the word is used for magic;

Point 2: people sometimes use balls or stuff to place with someone. There is magic in this. This will be hospitality called. Sometimes they also smear it on money. When you're near this, you feel this. Or you touched it and it leaves a (permanent) trail of magic on you;

Point 3: voodoo in a person. Think of ghosts/magic (bhoot) that come into you through all kinds of magic methods, such as through food and drink or through intimacy;

Point 4: this is often about ogri ai and nadjer/nazar. This is a temporary form of jealousy you feel† Usually this makes you very nauseous. Or you make fines. This usually goes away. If it stays longer, it's more likely to be a this of fiofio;

Point 5: high sensitivity, karma, medical stuff and the universe is just that. I can help you with that too, but it's not voodoo. It sometimes feels that way. But sometimes something like a fiofia missed, because it was not done with ritual or sacrifice but does have the effect of black magic.

Remove Surinamese voodoo

And what is a healer called? One bonuman or winti healer† Or shaman. And I do that work! For this I work together with special herbs and with my winti. But actually I prefer to call it a guide or rank and file.

How do you take away magic? Magic affects everything. From creating addiction to money problems, from relationship problems to health problems. That is not good! That is why there are also solutions:

Point 1: the distance magic. You get this away with different types wassis† They break a curse, dispel magic or send a ghost, depending on the type of wassi;

Point 2: the obia: stuff with bad energy. You can remove this with a tapu† It destroys the magic within;

Point 3: When there is voodoo in a person, you often remove it with wassi's as well. Or with 'counter drinks', too tapu or cotton called;

Point 4: do you have a temporary evil eye (nadjar) that makes you very nauseous, you can leave it djhare† And point 5: if you have fiofio (long-lasting evil eye) then you also remove that with a wassi. Some also do church services (church ipas) for this. Family curses can also be broken remotely.

Blocking foreign voodoo

What you have to watch out for after this is that something is not simply sent again. We are not talking about expulsions, but about blockages. This is also called called tapoe or cotti.

A tapoe is used both to expel and to block, depending on what is going on. A tapoe is sometimes also in a talisman. A cotti is putting herbs in your skin so that you get signals when someone wants to do harm through food and drink or obia. For example, you get shaking hands or flies or hairs in your food as a sign. Do not ignore them. And you can also do a distance ritual to block someone who constantly sends magic or spirits. So which protection, but also expulsion, you need, depends on the situation you are in.

Do you need help or do you want these expulsions/blockages/protections from Surinamese and other voodoo? Leave a comment!
